The World in a Wave

This book is in the form of conversations between a mystic lady and her niece who has a thirst for knowledge. The niece (Pritha) comes to stay with her aunt (Mashimoni) for a few weeks. Pritha comes to know from her mother that Mashimoni is a spiritually gifted lady and so she wishes to have some knowledge transfer sessions to gain a better understanding about religion and spirituality.

Amidst simple settings and day-to-day activities, the two engage in deep discussions in which Pritha learns about her essence, about the various Hindu philosophies and about how science and religion can complement each other in neat ways, if viewed from the correct perspective.

The Right Approach To Read This Book

The book comprises of short chapters, and the correct approach would be to read the chapters one after the other so as not to miss the subtle truths that are conveyed in each chapter that are elaborated further across the chapters.

Prologue

During her summer holidays Pritha comes to stay with her aunt whom she fondly calls Mashimoni. ‘Mashi’ means mother’s sister and moni means a ‘gem’. Mashimoni is a mystic lady with profound knowledge in spiritual science.
Pritha’s innate thirst of spiritual knowledge compels her to engage in deep discussions with Mashimoni. The story is about knowledge transfer and profound understanding. Amidst simple settings and day-to-day activities, the two engages in deep discussions.

Pritha comes to know about her essence, about the various Hindu philosophies and about how science and religion can complement each other in neat ways, if viewed from the correct perspective.

Epilogue

Pritha must go back to Varanasi after spending three weeks of her summer holidays at Mashimoni’s place in Noida. At the juncture of departure, she realises that there has been a profound transformation in her mind over these three weeks.
She makes up her mind to spend her next vacations too with Mashimoni and Mashimoni promises her of more enlightening discussions.
